This contest encourages future marine talents through marine biological education and culture, and enhances creativity and marine knowledge for youth through more independent exploration activities

• Eligible Participants: Domestic and youth teams (2 ~ 4 students and 1 supervising teacher)

• team : ages 10 ~ 14(Elementary), 15 ~ 18(Secondary)

             - The supervising teacher must be a current employee

• Research Topic : Any free topic related to marine life

               - Any topic related to marine life is acceptable

• Activity Period: June to October 2024

• Activities: Independent research, report writing, and presentation of results.

               - Participants are encouraged to enjoy the process over the results in self-directed research activities

• Tiebreaker for total score ties: (1st priority) highest score in presentation; (2nd priority) highest score in the final report

• Penalty points: Up to 5 points deducted per phase (applicable to both team members and teachers)

- Adherence to submission deadlines for assessed materials (report, research diary, supervisory diary, poster, and presentation)
results in a deduction of 0.5 points per incident day

• Only scores from the main round are counted in the final results.
